This man was arrested during a sting operation in Topeka, Kansas

Federico Mendoza, 33 year old male from Hutchinson, KS communicated with a 13 year old child ID in Topeka, KS on Aug. 9 and Aug. 10, 2006. He was very sexually explicit with the 13 yr old child ID, and when he did arrive at what he believed to be her house on Aug. 10, 2006, he was arrested immediately. He brought items with him such as condoms, a dildo, sexual lubricant, a video camera, etc.

He’s been charged with several crimes in connection with what he attempted to do to a young child, and on Thursday Aug. 17, 2006, Fredrico Mendoza was indicted by a grand jury for these attempted crimes against a child.

We look forward to participating in the prosecution of this man, and we are very grateful to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and the Topeka Police Dept. for their hard work, support, and for acting to protect local children from adults who would harm them.
