Dylan said he was a firefighter. He showed up in his van to have sex with 13 year old Jillie on Dec. 12, 2004. The police were waiting in unmarked cars, watching as he showed up for the child.

He was interviewed, arrested and charged. We were told that, in addition to what he attempted to do with Jillie, he also had porn and teen porn on his computer, and that Dylan admitted to chatting with at least one other child from another city in PA, and that during his interview he was “quiet and cagey”.

Dylan Mattern was charged with 4 crimes listed here . Charges 2, 3, and 4 were dropped. Dylan was convicted of Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Yrs Age. See this LINK - He was sentenced to probation, (we're told it's actually parole, but the records we've linked say probation), community service, approximately $1,200 costs, and it says confinement for min. 60 days, max 18 months, but he is not in jail (on Dec. 9, 2005). He's trolling chat rooms right now (Dec. 9, 2005), today.

We believe that children should be protected from Dylan Mattern, and that the sentence should have been much harsher. We will follow up on this case.

We’re very disappointed with the sentence in Dylan’s case, but, Caithness did an outstanding job on this case, and we’re very proud of her!

Dylan and Montour County citizens will be hearing from us regarding this case.
