I talked with the detectives and they had me set up a meeting for Mani at the 7-11. He was late getting there but finally made it, and he had a friend with him! Thank goodness it was me he had been talking with and not a real little girl.

He was arrested on the spot and has been in jail ever since.

On 3 / 7 / 2005 – “Mani” - Janakiraman Manivel plead guilty to Indecent Solicitation of a Child. He was sentenced to time served (approx. 140 days), and 2 years probation. Also, INS was waiting for Will County to be done with him so he could be deported.
