This man was arrested during a sting operation in Topeka, Kansas

Sherfy Kemper aka “Sonny”, 50 year old male in Topeka, KS communicated with a 13 year old child ID in Topeka, KS from Aug. 4 through Aug. 9, 2006. He was very sexually explicit with the 13 yr old child ID, and tried to meet with her repeatedly before he did arrive at what he believed to be her house on Aug. 9, 2006, where he was arrested immediately. He was coming over to have sex with her (believing this girl was a 13 year old virgin), on his lunch hour.

He’s been charged with several crimes in connection with what he attempted to do to a young child, and on Thursday Aug. 17, 2006, Sherfy Kemper was indicted by a grand jury for these attempted crimes against a child.

We look forward to participating in the prosecution of this man, and we are very grateful to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and the Topeka Police Dept. for their hard work, support, and for acting to protect local children from adults who would harm them.
